CAMPEBELL HOUSE BOUTIQUE VENUE OPENS ITS DOORS
Campbell House, an elegant boutique conference venue in the heart of Waverly, Johannesburg, has recently opened its doors to the public. Catering to small functions and business conferences, this intimate venue is ideally situated just minutes from Sandton, Rosebank and the Johannesburg CBD, with easy access from the M1 highway and the airport.
Built in 1916 and designed by renowned architect Harold Nixon Porter, Campbell House recalls the rich cultural history of Johannesburg, its beautiful green lawns and traditional architecture lending to its graceful tranquillity.
Says Sarah McGuigan, owner of Campbell House, ?With such a stylish and elegant past, converting one of Johannesburg’s heritage homes into a fitting venue was no easy task. But after much careful planning we have finally restored this beautiful property to reflect the charm and gracious style of a by-gone era whilst providing every convenience of a modern day conference facility.?
With this historical architecture in mind, Campbell House has recreated each of the original rooms into an independent function setting while maintaining the original olde-worlde charm in each one. The intimacy of each room creates an ideal setting for out-of-office business functions and meetings – The Boardroom and The Library, seating up to 30 and 14 respectively, and The Blue Room which seats up to 45. Any of these rooms can be booked separately or conjointly, depending on requirements, and Campbell House offers both half and full-day conference packages that include a variety of elective catering options.
?Our conference rooms ensure privacy and peaceful surroundings. We recognise that each conference or event is unique and focused on specific goals and objectives. Assisting our clients achieve these is our top priority. We believe that delegates should be inspired and motivated, yet relaxed and pampered,? says Sarah.
For larger functions such as corporate lunches, cocktail parties and intimate weddings, The Veranda, seating as many as 80 guests, and The Gazebo, that seats up to 60, look out over the garden which provides a stunning backdrop for photographs. The house, near on a century old, is set on an extensive property which has also allowed for substantial secure on-site parking.
Campbell House offers an experienced, on-site events management team that is available to coordinate the smooth execution of an event to a client?s exact requirements, as well as a selection of catering options. Sarah comments, ?As all catering is done offsite, Campbell House is also proud to have hosted a number of kosher events and looks forward to facilitating many more in the future.?
Campbell House is a warm boutique venue that offers not only a convenient location for events, but also focused and dedicated service with attention to each individual need. Please visit www.campbell-house.co.za
